Missouri Probation FAQ: SIS & SES

There are two types of probation in Missouri: Suspended imposition of sentence (SIS) and suspended execution of sentence (SES). SIS is a plea of guilty of a DWI or any offense. You will not take the conviction and it will not hit your driver’s record. If you get a SES, go to jail, or pay a fine, those are considered convictions. Depending on how many times you have been convicted your driver's license can be suspended or even revoked for a year.
